To me than that. I very much look foreword to walking my daughter down the isle at her wedding if given the chance. She's 3 years old, so I don't want to rush her :)! I want to thank you for this video because it gave me the chance to hear what my kids may have felt. It was very gear felt and it made me cry to realize what I put them through.even though I'm sober now, I really needed to here your words so thank you so much! I love this video. I am 46, have a 3 yr old girl, an 8 yr old boy. I have cirrhosis.My boy remembers a time that the ambulance came because I had thrown up LOTS of blood everywhere. It breaks my heart to think of it.I am One year and 87 days sober and I have improved greatly. I can do everything physically I did in my 20s. I talk to NOTH of my kids and have hid nothing,They ate happy to have their daddy back and I cry every time I think about how lucky I am to be their daddy. Nothing means more

Thank you for posting this. I am so sorry this has been happening to you and your family. I lost my boyfriend to cirrhosis and it was horrible. It's not fair to have your parents not be there for you because of booze. I was so angry at my boyfriend and I just couldn't leave him (his body) at the hospital when he died. Why couldn't he just stop? It wasn't until I walked out of the hospital that I realized that it MUST BE a disease because he WANTED to live. He tried + tried but couldn't stop.

I am your father. i have two small kids and a wife. i did not choose to be an alky. it just happend. I am not their yet. But its just a matter of time. It is a very hard habit to quit. I have tried many times six months was the longest i gone. My life was miserable during that time. I have tried a.a. detox etc. sometimes its more painful to live then to die. But thanks to you i will give it another go. rather be miserable and live till my children grow and get married . thanks.

Your video broke my heart. I am in love with a man who is 39 and has cirrhosis of he liver and Hep C through blood transfusions years back from a car accident. I love him so much. He quit drinking for a year and but is now drinking again only beer ... I have told him he will die in 2 years like the doctors told him if he does not quit. I live in Australia he lives in the US.. I would do anything for this man. I sent him your video.. hopefully he too will turn his life around. God bless you xxx

Yeah, I can only hope you all who have someone suffering or are suffering will take the time out and watch this.. I mean I need to do updated ones about this but right now things are hectic but, this is a terrible disease and it only takes some help and will power to change.. and hopefully more people will change for the better!

He is doing wonderful, two years sober from drinking and working on not smoking, too! He gave up smoking on the New Year 2011! Very proud of his will to get through this even if a horrible disease like this had to happen for him to be slapped with reality!

He's done a lot better, He's quit drinking and started living a better lifestyle, and He also came out to visit me a few weeks ago which was AWESOME because He's not been out to see me since I can't remember exactly when, everything is getting better with his illness, his acites have gone down completely, He doesn't look completely 100% but, He has made a great turn-around so far, I'm pretty impressed. Our relationship isn't too close still but, We visit, talk on the phone, ect. I'm proud of him
