Sheriff Jim Alderden "Taken Aback" By Falcon's "Show" Comment

Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden appears on Greta Van Susteren's TV show to hash out where things stand in the case of "Balloon Boy" Falcon Heene, and the possibility that the event may have been a hoax.

He says that even though investigators think the family was being "truthful" as based on their emotions, the comment Falcon made - "we did this for a show" - mystified investigators. "Certainly, we were taken aback by it," he says.

then what about the parents reactions to his comment? that put the icing on the cake for me.

in fact at 0:24 cnn shows the renactment they filmed before going on air... "for the show"

the six year old wasnt paying much attention and may have misunderstood which event he (wolf) was referring to, the original hiding, or several hours before the (cnn) broadcast when media producers of the (cnn) show had asked him to re-enact getting into the attic "for the show", a segment which did air along with the interview.

taking a statement from a six year old that may or may not have been fully understood, and then adding spin to it, isn't enough to prove a fraud case.
