Physician and Author Gabor Maté on ADHD, Bullying and the Destruction of American Childhood 3 of 3

A spike in diagnoses of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other mental disorders has fueled an unprecedented reliance on pharmaceutical medications to treat children, with long-term effects that remain unknown. Democracy Now! speaks with Canadian physician and best-selling author, Dr. Gabor Maté.

Dr. Maté argues that these responses are treating surface symptoms as causes while ignoring deeper roots. He says children are in fact reacting to the broader collapse of the nurturing conditions needed for their healthy development.

@MasterDarkarbiter Were you even listening to what Dr Gabor was saying??? He very specifically stated that "there's nothing wrong with kids having friends, it's a question of whether they do it under the guide of parental leadership or do they do it in separation from the parents?" He was simply stating the importance of parental 1-on-1 bonding.

@MasterDarkarbiter he's talking about re-establishing a healthy relationship with parents. It was not an absolute, no sleepovers ever. It was, they already spend so much time with other kids that we need to rebalance the situation. What else does he seriously fail to understand ? My feeling is that you are reacting maybe out of guilt, I don't know since I don't know your situation.

Well he's got some good points, but seriously fails to understand some things. Sleepovers being a bad thing? Since when is that bad for mental health.

Sounds like a parent being jealous of their children's friends or something.

@only3wishes - It's the government. Even the NEA was infiltrated (Trained) by Tavistock. What is Tavistock? Look it up. Eugenics, mind control, dumming down of america, destruction of family that existed just 30 years ago. CPS and its other eugenics agencies will punish you for homeschooling, not putting them in daycare (govt skols for early programming toward the group/gangs), etc. Parents are criminalized for spending too much time w their kids by the courts funded w fed funds (foreign banks)

"How do WE change this...?" We literally have to change our societal PRIORITIES. It's love or money folks, that's what it's coming to. My bet is on LOVE.We need to reclaim our HOMES as real sanctuaries& raise our children with a sense of SANCTITY for their homes, their bodies & their world. Can we do this & give 70% of our waking time to income earning & physical maintenance? ABSOLUTELY NOT! We must claim our homes as the sacred holy ground of our intimate circle where we RAISE OUR CHILDREN!NOW!
