@MrElkrick people like you really do make me want to be sick, literally. America did not 'save our ass' if not for use i pretty much can garuntee that the Allies would have lost WW2. If we lost the Battle of Britain America would have to storm the beaches of western Britain to liberate. Then they would have to liberate France. Not to mention our help in Italy and our best efforts in North Africa. As mentioned by @rangliansoldier you only brought a quicker demise to the Nazi's

Montgomery was smashing the Germans and Italians in North Africa, the RAF had just defeated the Luftwaffe over Britain, we were bombing Berlin, raiding costal defences with Commando's, fighting the Japanese in the jungle, supplying the Russians with military kit and provisions, our navy was vast and powerful. You simply brought about a quicker demise to the Nazi's.
