(Best Syndication) Google Inc. will buy DoubleClick Inc. for $3.1 billion in cash from San Francisco-based private equity firm Hellman & Friedman and JMI Equity and management. Both Microsoft and Google were competing for the banner-ad company, but in the end Google paid over 20 times DoubleClick's estimated yearly revenue of $150 million.

  • DOUBLE CLICK IS SO ANNOYING

  • As they become more successful, the more I can see them as a contributor to a bland world. Youtube was so fun back then, but, now, it's so saturated with annoyance. The videos of annoying video-bloggers with the same video style are colorless.

  • doubleclick is annoying,i want to block that shit

  • Wow, I'm surprised they didn't agree to the deal in loose change. Can you imagine $3.1 billion in pennies?
