  • @cgmodeler Thank you for your answer, modeler. I`ll look for Anima Mundi. Thanks again.

  • @ptrck99 I'm a 3D Artist and I'm with you on this completely. Sadly 3D Has become a faster way to create commercial films altough it's fair to say that not all the studios around the world are doing the same. I would highly recommend Anima Mundi (the book) from the festival. It has a huge list of studios around the world. That'll broaden your view regarding the 3D FilmMaking.

  • Faces of Age

  • Pen and paper are so good. Or maybe the 3D artists fail to realize that most of the 3D work look so alike, and didn´t have the guts to explore new tendencies, I don´t know, but this is damn refreshing.

  • Very well done, very artistic. Thanks for doing it, and thanks for uploading it.

  • Very interesting creation...well done! Thanks.

  • Hi Chris,

A very cool modeling tool is Google's SketchUp. It's free for non commercial use.

    Pixologic's Zbrush is a more clay-like metaphor.

Maya is the big dog, but hard to learn & expensive.

Hash's Animation Master is cheap with pro level features.

Groboto by Braid software is easy, beautiful & cheap.

Studio Artist is not a 3D app, but a great art tool. (Mac only, Windows version on the way.)

  • Awesome work Chris, those likenesses are spot on.

When was this animation done? Early 90's? (The fact that the historical figures stop at Bush 41 and Prime Minister Thatcher make me wonder this...)

Have you moved on to 3D transformations?

  • excellent

  • Wow. I thought that was just amazing! <3

    Well done.
