  • Population control through better education is the answer.

  • Making bio-fuel from grain crops to pump into gas guzzling SUV's is a triple obscenity. Yet is is happening. The American public has now pretty much forgotten about Africa since Mogadishu and the bombing of its embassies in Nairobi, Tanzania and Dar es Salaam.

The war-torn parts of Africa have been see-sawing between starvation and famine for the longest time. Without the goodwill of the American people there is scant hope for these poor starving people this time around.

  • we need to wake up not only for my son and daughter but for mankind pray and demand these beings leave are earth and stop interfering in our affiers

  • were being milked like a cow we are tax slaves .why do we pay tax where does are tax go? to the loans are govement took off privately owned central banks ,97%of money is on a coumpter screen and they print it or just put it on a screen, out of tin air ,and they then charge us interest on it ,we should be mad as hell with these ppl when god gave us earth so we could provide for each other

  • $200 million????? Cmon, thats what Americans probably spend on coffee for a day! Youre going to need a lot more than that to combat world hunger, a global epidemic which shows absolutely no signs of abating. Mr.Bush, who you applaud so well is one of the reasons why theres increased world hunger in the first place. Just take a look at all of the devestating free trade deals that he enforces throughout the world. Look at the huge financial institutions that he basically controls.

  • I applaud the decision by President George Bush to release another $200 million of food aid to help combat the mounting food crisis in the third world.

I am pleased that Mr. Bush has restated his commitment to helping the poor and needy of the world. The press release also notes that the American food aid program delivered more than $1 billion in food aid in 2007.

Perhaps instead of building more palaces the Emirate countries should consider doing more for their poor neighbors.

  • Why? you can never be defeated if you never give up. Europe has its own issues with immigration. Ours have euro/christian roots at the very least. In 20 years you will have Sharia law in your country. why? no babies being born. Arab women having 5-6 at a time. all living on your taxes. don't take my word for it look up your own demographics. Case in point I have 3 children with 3 of my friends have 3-4 children each, none with less than 2. You have the immigrant not us.

  • I offer the example of Rome because of the effects that its collapse had on the world. If I were in fact nationalistic myself I could make the argument that the Europe you so readily disparage has succeeded in re-uniting the Eastern and Western arms of the Roman Empire.

America still has the largest undefended borders in the world, and your foolish plans to stem the immigrant tide on your southern border will fail as surely as the Berlin Wall.

Recall your troops while you still have time.

  • The robotic mule is as you say amazing, as are your UAV's yet you are still side-stepping my main issue - namely that all that research costs money - money that the USA cannot afford. Your answer is simply to print more dollars which devalues your currency still further.

With so much of your country owned by international investors it seems the only way out of this economic quagmire is nationalisation. Your silly government was only one step away from selling its ports to its enemy last year.

  • With 95% of the US population armed to the teeth an actual invasion is obviously unfeasible. The main threat to American expansionism comes instead from within. The growing disparity between your rich and poor can only grow wider unless the USA reins in its generals and diverts military funding to develop the inner cites.

Gang warfare is at an epidemic state - and well armed and ruthless gangs at that. Don't you think its about time you turned some of your swords into plowshares?

  • we have no out side threats. so Rome is a poor example. Also Rome lasted 1000 years, 2000 if you count the east as Roman more greek I would say. Our toys have proven them selves to be very affective. Some the new robotic systems are quit amazing check out "big dog" on you tube. UAVs and the new auto gun platforms are performing well. Mix this with our new high speed chips! Oh yeah I like my jackboots they look good on other peoples throats.
