as they are, I don't know. But I only want items to enable me to do what I have always loved doing which is exploring the odd places looking for mineral specimens just because they please me. I would also like to own a nice telescope, but that takes far too much time and effort and I would rather devote that time to my rock hounding.

Bewilderment is a state of mind that is common for the awakened. To lust after the perfect lawn, to dream of the well furnished well mortgaged McMansion with the Gas burner for every occasion filling the 5 car garage and all of the other tchotchkes of consumerism just baffles me. All I have ever wanted is a place to store my stuff and a rugged reliable vehicle to roam around the country as I collect mineral specimens and a nice set up to work with them. Our lives are pretty much slavery, because we were not born into the ruling classes. Have you looked at a teacher's (highschool) job? It is pure slavery: They read directions from their employer tells them to do, and do as they are told. For must lower-class jobs, the only requirement is that of OBEDIENCE, and nothing more. They do not have to use their minds or exert themselves. Quite literally, they are cattle living a life of slavery. I dislike how all jobs are taking on these features.

Thanks for the feedback, and I agree as well. The goal of the elite is to turn the masses into perfectly predictable "Batteries" in the society (Matrix). I wonder why this research was NOT done in the United States (hint: I am being very cynical). No, this is the undoubtedly the real of the ruling class. I agree with what was said in the New York TImes in 1992, about 500-1000 power elites make 100% of all of the major decisions behind the scenes.
