Have a look at the prices of new games in EB games, or any Aussie retailer. Now look at new prices in OzGameShop, where they import from the UK. Prime example is BRINK. In Australia, $70 is the cheapest you'll get. From overseas, it's $15 (*including* shipping).

I don't know about you, but paying ~500% of the prices overseas is a bit ridiculous, no?

@Drunkkid Everything else actually is very very expensive. Most things i own come from the uk bought on ebay. Its often 3x cheaper over there. I will never buy from a local store unless i dont have much of a choice simply because its just too expensive.

Wage = $620

Rent = $290 (considered cheap in australia)

Food = $50

Fuel = $60

Electricity = $50

Water = $30 (tap water)

Left over = on average $140

I'm much better off than most people I know btw

@Drunkkid69 Australia has NOT gotten cheaper. Its about 50% more expensive since 2006, and yet our wages have not changed. If it keeps going on this trend, Australia will end up like India soon in terms of poverty. The rich and extremely greedy are causing this to happen, and they just simply flat out don't care.
