High-Torque LEGO Power Functions Paper/Garbage Shredder.

Ever since I've gotten stocked up on power functions I've wanted to revisit where I left off about a half a year ago and build a proper shredder.

This was a relatively quick build as it had been thought out for quite some time now. It uses 4 XL motors geared down 1:3 to drive its menacing 8 saws through almost any heavy (for lego) trash that comes its way. Even able to shred though 4 layers of paper, some shredders on the market can barely handle 6 (and they're made out of steel and industrial motors!).
So this is pretty much a demo. of what it's capable of doing, I will probably keep it together for awhile as I want to incorporate it into a RC/Mindstorm trash facility (I know it's ambitious, the idea might not even take shape but i'm just throwing it out there as maybe a larger future project)...

I got them from a LEGO Power Miners set, although that was eons ago and I can't recall which one.

I can't even shred, at most it's a paper crumpler

Because of the space in between the teeth, that's why it has difficulty shredding softer materials.

I have a video of it shredding large blocks of styrofoam... although I can't find it :(

Oh, my, god! Thats like the COOLECT thing in the whole UNIVERSE!! Usually it takes 4 300 HP engines to shred some junk, but you made it with LEGO!
