Russell Crowe became upset when BBC Radio 4 presenter Mark Lawson questioned whether the noticeable Irish delicate was deliberate in Crowes portrayal of Robin Hood in Ridely Scott's new film. The interview was cut short when Crow decided to walk out.

I do not own this audio, this audio belongs to the BBC.

  • Hey, Russell Crowe, you've got dead ears and a shit English accent. I hope you read this. Your Irish sucks as well. So does your attitude - I liked this film until I heard this interview. You are a douche.

  • @WillShakespeare2007

I didn't hear a negative tone in the interviewer's voice, he just mentioned the Irish he heard in his accent. He didn't even bring it up again, Russell did. What I'm saying is that he should have been more mature about the situation. Walking out of the room was a very childish thing to do. He has to learn to let things go, so what if the guy said he heard Irish in his accent? He's a 47 year old man. Not a 5 year old, he shouldn't be running off to pout in a corner.

  • What a prick.

  • russel crowe is the sort of man if your having a beer with him in the local pub you agree with everything he says or else he loses his temper.

  • BBC = Big Black Cock News

  • @Walrus563 And for the record, I don't think his accent was particularly good either, it had bits of this and bits of that but at no point did I hear any Irish. Just saying. Having said that there's more to doing a good acting job than pulling off a perfect accent (this certainly wasn't RC's best work though, on any level.

  • @Walrus563 actually, this is a 2 minute excerpt from a 10 minute interview. If you listen to the whole thing, the interviewer admits before it even starts that he went along with the express purpose of confronting RC about his accent. RC may have been less than open to this nobody criticising his ability but I've seen first hand the type of crap that some morons seem to feel obliged to hand out to RC everywhere he goes, so maybe he'd just had enough that day, anyone consider that?

  • @WillShakespeare2007 It was a valid question and Crowe didn't need to be so childish about it. He's a stupid prick.

  • @WillShakespeare2007

Because he was shit. Mark Lawson is ace.

  • @WillShakespeare2007 If someone were to criticise my job I'd like to think I'd take it constructively, rather than personally. How can anyone improve if they believe they are perfect?

  • @WillShakespeare2007 can you imagine being so precious about doing an accent from another country, when you're talking to someone from that country? I've never heard any other actor be anything other than self-effacing about attempting a foreign accent, but the great Russell Crowe is obviously above modesty.
