Russell Crowe walks out on BBC Radio 4

Russell Crowe became upset when BBC Radio 4 presenter Mark Lawson questioned whether the noticeable Irish delicate was deliberate in Crowes portrayal of Robin Hood in Ridely Scott's new film. The interview was cut short when Crow decided to walk out.

I didn't hear a negative tone in the interviewer's voice, he just mentioned the Irish he heard in his accent. He didn't even bring it up again, Russell did. What I'm saying is that he should have been more mature about the situation. Walking out of the room was a very childish thing to do. He has to learn to let things go, so what if the guy said he heard Irish in his accent? He's a 47 year old man. Not a 5 year old, he shouldn't be running off to pout in a corner.

The whole accent thing is so stupid, in Notts the accent varies wildly depending on which part of it you come from... Like Mansfield is a much, much stronger accent than the centre of Nottingham, but Notts people overall tend to empasise the 'uh' sound, like 'bus' is pronounced with a deepening of the 'u'. Sherwood forest is close to Derbyshire and so the accent will differ there too. But it's all relative - the actors should have just gone for a 'standard' English accent and not bothered.
