So, now I hope to have satisfied all of you who 'complain' that I don't build any Tamiya kits, 1/48 scale aircraft in general, and not enough Mustangs.. :)

Kit Rating: 10 / 10 (Perfection)

Decal Rating: 10 / 10 (Very good!

  • I always find Humbrol's No 11 silver gives a poor finish. Did you use an airbrush?

  • @Ferrari312pb Nope, I always handbrush... The trick with Humbrol 11 is to do about 3 thin layers, making sure the paint has dried properly between each layer.. Needless to say the paint needs to be THOROUGHLY stirred and shaken... and stirred again.. :)

  • nice, nice, nice, nice!!!

  • @kellerbodenplatten Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks... :)

  • @BasicModelling what do you think about Zvezda models? How accurate are they?

  • @lodhol I haven't built many Zvezda kits, but I have heard some good things about them.. :) I guess they are like any other kits, some are good and some not so good.. :) I have a Zvezda 1/72 MiG-21 to build, and also an 1/72 IL-2, and both those kits look VERY good to me... :) :) I don't know what their armour kits are like, though...

  • Excellent job!

  • Nevermind just watched another one of your vids on your paint. Thx anyways:)

  • I really like it! My ( mancave) has no windows so I too have to brush paint or bring into the garage and rattle can until can be handled and brought back in for acceptable curing temps. I seen a couple cans of humbrol enamel in the picks, do you prefer enamel over acrylic for brushing? I like enamel for small tech pieces because it's easy to manipulate with toothpick but on a large surface I'm not to sure. Thanks! And love your vids!!

  • I prefer Airfix models, but Tamyia models are good too...
