An often debated topic by those who don't think The Venus Project will work is the notion that we don't have the technology to pull this off. This video addresses this. If you want the full uncut version, let me know.

Perhaps. Either way, I've checked out for myself the things he talks about and it most certainly checks out. So at this point, it's hard for me to say if I'm listening to him or if I'm listening to nature. Not sure if that makes sense, but I am certainly not any follower of his, I support what he's doing, not the person himself although I respect him highly for basically giving me a direction to work towards that isn't biased towards anything and is the most spiritual thing out there, imho.

34:07 Incredibly awkward. I actually felt embarrassment, as if I was the one who did it.

But yeah this documentary is amazing. Doug Mallette and The Zeitgeist Movement are really doing some wonderful work trying to teach more and more people about how advanced our current technology really is! A lot of this stuff would seem like science fiction were it not for most of it already being blueprinted and built.

It's true - some energy stuff is pretty questionable, like solar (some say more energy needed to produce than is generated over lifetime) and conventional wind turbines (lots of problems, noise etc. and lots of rare-earth elements needed).

But the most important phrase is actually the last one - just think what could be possible in money-less economy.

My explanation is sufficient (see goo. gl/JLDAN). In Fukushima no one have died, but why you're not complaining about coal burning, which kills tens of thousands each year.

New nuclear technology is even safer.

Your explanation is insufficient and incomprehensible. Would you care to elaborate? Fukushima is a pretty good example of nuclear energy not being safe.

It is not the dominant reactor in the world because it got cast away, due to its inability to make decent Nukes. China however has started development.

Nuclear power is most definitely not an 'obsolete practice' compared to Geo energy, lol. Can Geo produce lifesaving medical isotopes and satelite batteries, or even be location independent? I don't think so. Transportation of energy can lead up to 30% in energy loss, you know. Which is a big problem for almost all alternative energy sources.

And are LFTR's the dominant reactor make in the world, or is this just another good idea like Tesla's perpetual energy reactors that could be held in your palm? Or M.T. Keshe's for that matter. My point is, in comparison to Geothermal power, Nuclear Reactors are unnecessary. And if that reactor produces waste-water (probably fluoride enriched which is fxcking toxic) then it's still an obsolete practice, in comparison to Geothermal steam.

the technology exist. The demand, monetization oppurtunity does not. let's not forget the opposition from the established powers that be.

That is simply not true, you should research Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors (LFTR). LFTRs are inherently safe, have no meltdown, no nuclear weapons, no long lasting waste, it's 200x more powerful than current reactors, creats lifesaving medical isotopes, can produce hydrogen fuel, produce fertiliser, desalinise salt water and the fuel is so abundant and cheap it is a hinder in mining and gets thrown away.

The technology was realised with the Manhatten project, and they flew a plane with it!
