On down shifting do you have to go one at a time? (5 to4, 4 to3, ect.) Or can you drop down multiple gears? Like if you needed to drop speed quickly?

I'm American and I only drive a stick shift. I wish more Americans would chose manual: it's more sporty and fuel-efficient.
