Sethstrings has the correct answer here. It is most certainly Larry Campbell doing "camp chase". While this is traditionally a fiddle tune(yes fuzzy mountain does do a fiddle version of it) this is a unique guitar arrangement worked out by him on his album "Rooftops". Google it and you will see the difference.
