I'm pretty sure they said this one was called "Maria," but not 100% (I've been told via the Comments below that the actual name is "Sarah." I should have been paying attention more closely!). What I am sure is that it is one of the most beautiful banjo tunes ever written and performed, and that I love it. And I love how much fun the band has as they play. What great guys.

  • Sarah starts around 1:53. Not sure of the name of the tune they're playing leading to it (although I've heard them play it before). Thanks for the post. Fast version of Sarah.

  • complete get's i love it

  • don't get me wrong i use one alot because i have to lol llol

  • they do use a capo very much. just proves how good they really are.

  • Jens has a DVD where he was talking about this song....he said in his village back in Switzerland there was a baby girl born one night with a weak heart. Her name was Sarah, and Jens put together this arrangement with her in mind. When I hear this song begin at 1:54 I always hear a tiny heart struggling to keep her alive...apparently she didn't make it through the night :-(
