  • What makes Peter better is a lack of, frankly, cockyness. Peter often makes fun of his younger self for thinking he was "more important than he really was". What makes him better is also a genuine sense of gaining wisdom in his songs. He started as a wild young man and has become a wise song writer.

  • it was the perfect song to play at a olympic opening

  • I love that he still sounds just about as good as he did 20+ years ago. Compared to other bands who can't do what they used to, and still tour like it's the 80's, just for profit.

  • Interesting, isn't it? Seems like a simple song, yet after John, nobody could come close to make a decent version until Peter gave it a try.

  • Two people couldn't imagine all the people sharing all the world.

  • Kdlang hallelujah > This

  • @conekt

come to eastern europe, in winter we usually wear it when its cold outside :D

  • It's not only singing like. It's signing "as" (ever better !).

    Thanks to magic Peter

  • This was 5 years ago! Hard to beleive!

  • That drummer's hat is EPIC!

If you really want to fight for your country, protest againts your government's crimes against humanity. The US always supported some of the most brutal dictatorships in the world (Ceauşescu, Suharto, the guatemalan military junta etc. etc.). And they still support some of the most brutal dictatorships in the world (Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc.). The corporate elite which runs US politics only support democracy when it is in its interest. That has been true for all superpowers.

Few people have ''fought'' for their country. The US soldiers don't fight ''for the US'', they fight for the big money that run US politics. Same is true for the Russian soldiers, and the German soldiers etc. Sometimes they happened to be fighting for something good (like when Vietnam invaded Kambodja and put an end to the Khmer Rouge slautghter, or when the US and Soviet had no other choice than to fight Nazi Germany), but that was always a coincidence.
