I disagree that the movie 'made a fool of Papa Luciani". He was supposed to appear like a fool but was in fact a very smart man, knows 6 languages and writes a lot. Pope John Paul 1 was like the court jester of England who act like a fool in front of the king to provide him with entertainment but who actually sees and knows a lot about what was going on. He saw the corruption and 'dirty' things going on in the Vatican and was going to clean house when evil ones murdered him.

Why was so much cut from this film? It told nothing of the truth. So disappointing because I thought it was going to be the complete film. This pope was murdered because he was going to expose all the corruption in the Vatican. He was a good man.

Get the facts: Neither Wojtyla (later to become Blessed John Paul II) nor Ratzinger (the current Pope Benedict) had anything to do with the death of their predecessor. Both of them were Archbishops at the time in their respective dioceses, far away from Rome. Woytila was even behind the Iron Curtain! Also, David Yallop, the chief conspiracy theorist, doesn't mention them as possible suspects. He even indicates that Wojtyla and Ratzinger voted for Luciani in the Conclave.

This pope was murdered with the full knowledge of both Pope John Paul II and the current Pope Benedict. These last 2 will burn in the lowest pits of hell for this sin of omission on their part. It is an affront and a slap in the face of all Christians that Pope John Paul II is now being beatified since he went to his grave with the guilt of having done nothing to stop the murder of Albino Luciani.
