Jellybean Hotrods & Customs in Surrey, B.C. builds reliable, state of the art rides and prides itself in exceeding the customers' expectations. We have performed work for all kinds of people but when Cori contacted us and told us she had an '06 Solstice but wanted to trade it in for an '07 version because it came with a turbo, we knew we had to meet this car nut. She went on to say she had already ordered it & it was due to arrive in a few weeks. Upon arrival she wanted it upgraded before any of her friends saw it. The more she spoke, the more I thought, is this real? Is this woman as speed hungry and crazy about cars as many guys? We have done work for ladies before but not for one who upgraded her car to get the turbo.
Once the car arrived at the dealership near us she delivered it to Westcoast Custom Audio whom we use for all our high-end sound systems. They upgraded the sound system with a GPS and Sirius Satellite while keeping it all interfaced with the steering wheel controls.
It arrived at our shop with less than 50 kilometers on it along with the parts to perform the transformation. Auto City Imports supplied the dual scoop hood, the custom front nose along with the new tail spoiler. We hand fabricated the chrome grill inserts giving it a sleeker look. The Lambo doors also worked out well and gave it another unique feature and to help set it apart at night, underglow lights were added aswell.
Being the discerning consumer she is, Cori had us add a few coats of clear to the balance of the car giving it much more depth in the paint and shine like no other Solstice we had ever seen.
All in all, this car is an awesome example of a modern day sports car. With its 260HP turbo charged motor being mated to a 5-speed transmission, dual exhaust and performance suspension, this baby scoots through traffic with ease.
Not only does it perform well and look awesome, it takes home a trophy in every show it has been entered. The video shows how satisfied the customer is. The balance between performance, looks and ride has been achieved in this elegant black beauty. It is available for purchase at $59,900.00
