Grand Canyon in the Winter (December 22, 2008)

Nick and I took an 8-day road trip across America last month. We planned our route using AAA.com's TripTik Planner + GPS, and it was easy! The only problem we ran into was our original plan to enter the Grand Canyon through the North Rim. The night before we left to the Grand Canyon, we called some hotels outside of the North Rim and asked them how long it would take to drive to he Grand Canyon to watch the sun rise. The reception said the North Rim entrance is CLOSED during the winter -- DOH! And, the guy at the reception said, "good luck with the sunrise, it's been snowing the past few days and you'll probably have very little visibility!" -- DOH! Nevertheless, we still went and risked our lives on the viewpoints to shoot this short clip :)
