This looks great, can I ask you what you used for the camera mount? I'm looking for ways to mount my Fuji E900 in my car for HPDE hot runs. Thanks!

Good stuff, and great consistency. It's amazing how well iRacing captured this track.

if your coming to a stop or slowing down and the tires are squealing then yeah you are losing speed but going around a turn is a different story, if you really think about it, it would make sense.

@David... at the time this video was taken, it was a home-made aluminum clamp on a harness bar. I've since moved on to the I/O Port articulating mount and there is none better. It's not cheap (still @ $100 I think) but it's well worth it. Search for I O Port Camera Mount

If the tires are squealing, you're losing speed.

Specifically in this video, I'm on all-season 205-55 tires. Worn out yokos. So there was no helping it. But, your statement is not entirely true either. Some tires like to talk, and a tire's maximum speed is actually when its sliding just a bit (called slip angle). Some tires make more noise than others, especially street tires like I run. If you're not squealing street tires, you aren't going fast enough on them.

I was taught in driving school that the squeals are an easy indicator that we braked too late, or took the wrong line. Of course street tires don't help, but that's what I was trained on too. Godspeed to ya.

Depends on the squeal! :) I should have said your statement was incomplete, not untrue. If you're squealing and not turning... you're pushing and losing speed. But if you're squealing and the car is still doing what you want, then you're good to go
