I exercise four times a week, eat better than everyone i know, have goals, ect. I was still depressed. I went through 8 sessions with a therapist, 8 group sessions. Still depressed. I was prescribed Lexapro. No longer depressed. Currently: off Lexapro and still no longer depressed.

Many people mistakenly think that we are supposed to be happy most of the time. That is a myth. Most of the time, we are supposed to be somewhat neutral. Everybody goes through cycles of depressive bouts and anxiety. That is NORMAL!! All you need to know is that taking care of yourself is what really matters. Be it with good nutrition, emotional support, enjoying nature or pets, having hobbies, physical activity, doing your little daily chores, working if you have a job, etc Just regular stuff

Right on to that. Start with the habits that make you happy, feel alive and "productive", and see how far you can take them. Then try new ones. Screw society's value judgements and favorites.
