Quality Showcase of Greater Faydark in EQ2, Everquest II. Many people think it is not possible to get such framerates in this game in this particular zone. But if you build your computer properly utilizing the way this game is made then you can as well achieve the same results. There are more videos in my profile of the same settings being utilized not only in places like Moors but also in raiding as well. All videos shot at Extreme Quality or Higher. Enjoy.

  • Wow that's crazy my pc can only run extreme performance with a little bit of lag lol my pc sucks :P

  • This is weird. My shadows are extremely dark even on brightest settings. And of course I use Shader 1. The shader 3 "feature" makes the game into a black mess...

  • Then you need to see what my FPS is like in a RAID. I have those videos posted as well. I raid in Extreme just fine as well.

  • Shadows are on man. But when you are under the canopy of GF they dont always appear. You can see as I run around they appear and disappear, but when they appear there are ALOT of them and they are animated. Just look at 1:45 and on you will see the shadows... did you watch the whole thing? I will make a video up in the town if it will make you feel better. hehe.

  • @Codcat No Lag Either, Ill make a quick clip at some point on that.

  • Damn sorry posts going weird, i was going to say try turning on shadows, that's when pc's can't cope, i can see you dont' have shadows turned on.

  • I'd like to see your FPS when other characters are on screen :) I could get my system to run with a decent frame rate on extreme, max sliders etc as you have but as soon as you encountered other players, 5 or more, woe it dropped like a brick. Go up into the tree city near the brokers where all the players stand around and see what you get :P

  • @Codcat

yes aa is on in my eq2.ini file

  • Is that with anti aliasing on? Because that seemed to make a massive performance hit when enabled.

Has Sony enable support for anti aliasing yet? When i last played eq2 i had to edit a ini file to force it on, without it you get jagged edges on everything.

  • well done
