there is another way, there is a thing called quakelive offline - an 'offline' version of quake live which can be used to create a server where you and every player who has an ip of your server can play without any premiums. If you need any details on how to - just pm, we already tried to set up such server and played pql ca successfully. Same quakelive with pql, just without statistics. Imo perfect for private pickup matches
