(part 5 of 10) Tom Delonge, Kevin Lyman, Brett Gurewitz, Joe Escalante, Philip Sneed, Max Bemis and Jason Pettigrew discuss ways bands can deliver their music during Guitar Center Sessions.
Guitar Center Sessions: Warped Tour.
Since its inception in 1995, The Vans Warped Tour has been a catalyst for new music, exemplifying a culture of DIY that shaped a generation.
i think recently, the trend has been shifting away from albums and more towards singles. back in the day, you heard a song on the radio and bought the record. now, you hear it and just download that song on itunes or torrent.

@thedirtydeltas or maybe consumers that we are aiming are not the right ones.. a decade ago only kids bought albums, now I can see that kids download, and older ppl buy..
there is a few reasons to that, but I just think that the kid stuff isn't selling no more..

Yeah its going to be better than CDs though it just takes innovation making records cool again isn't hard.I've noticed more conventional record players being sold recently. The idea of selling something by the millions is a capitalistic one, societies values have changed since the recession.I think people would rather pay less for everything, maybe buy a little more food than music.
