Chester IS playing the bass notes. Watch his left hand and listen to the bass. He has split his keyboard for bass on the lower two octaves and the "strings" sound on the upper octaves.

Blues For Salvador is about Carlos´s Son.And also about the Country .The Grammy winning LP (the fi

rst ever for Carlos).The reason for putting it on the album and calling it "Blues for Salvador" was actually Deborah,She got a cassette of the song...and when she were driving she was so mezmerized she had to pull off the street and listen.She said "You just have to include this".Thus Blues for Salvador.

Chester is an amazing keyboardist (previously played with Tower of Power) - but I prefer Carlos' guitar over Chester's humming keyboard notes any time (-;
