@Roarzambimaru Very true-thanks for bringing sanity back into this. Some of these guys are just preaching their own view on fencing as if its pure indisputable fact.
-
at 1:41 they get all tangled up. hate it when that happens.
-
Why the hell are you guys talking about what you thinknig fencing is?!?!?!?! in my mind id consider this spam >_> ....You all act like you KNOW fencing but you probably dont. =/
-
Most matches its usually the aggressor that takes the win
-
+strength endurance and athleticism

-

sabre is faster, but if both opponets are skilled enough, and know how to predict their opponets move, then the match could last quite a while.
Oh, good call. I imagine you are the authority on real dueling weapons, you must be an incredible fighter to be in such good health. How many actual duels did you say you fought? I bet if any one of these "boys" fought you in a duel they'd get killed wouldn't they? How sad that they don't kill each other in fencing anymore.
Good call. Very good call.

Fencing is actually about not using reflexes at all, rather to plan everything. If you have a reflex, your opponent can use it, so you have to constantly anticipate your opponents moves. An "easy" way to do this is to control them, to guide him in the right direction.
If you're interested in epee fencing tactics, you should check out the book written by 1980 Olympic gold medalist Johan Harmenberg, Fencing 2.0. It's a great read!
