    I keep waiting for her to say "Sorry" after every sentence. She just reminds me how much I really miss "Ideal". I wish they would bring it back.

    I don't think so. I think they fail to recognize the gag as a satire of men who cannot attract a woman without so degrading her sense of self that she would be validated by interest from a houseplant. The fail to recognize the gag because they are morons, and they admire the asshat because, like him, they are incapable of attracting the attention of any woman who has not been stripped of her dignity.
