I love timelapsed cloudscapes but I do prefer close-ups (with no visible landscape). That way, they really shine. Clouds are so dreamy and beautiful speeded up.

I also enjoy 'dressing them up' a bit. This was done in MBL. I did a similar cloudscape movie 4 months ago: vimeo.com/863409 graded in Sony Vegas and without an adapter - not that the adapter does much to clouds anyway.

There's about 45-60 minutes of cumulus cloud footage compressed into this clip.

  • can you please tell me the name of the band wich plays this great jazzy tune?

  • @johnnymanson20 :) It's right there in the intro credits: Xploding Plastix (a Norwegian duo).

  • why does you preffers sony vegas instead adobe premiere for editing AVCHD files from HG-10 ?

    (sorry my horrible english)

  • Sony Vegas supported AVCHD files before Adobe did. Sony Vegas was also cheaper than Adobe Premiere and I really like to work with Sony Vegas.

  • nice! can you record those cars in the city for 45 minutes? as in it will look fast and furious!!!!!

  • You can speed up anything, even cars... :) I have a timelapse video from downtown Vancouver, if you want to see fast cars :)
