Master Han Si-hwan teaches one of hapkido's more obscure kicks to the students of Sangmukwan. This video was shot in the fall of 2001 in Incheon, South-Korea.
Master Han Si-hwan was a student of Myung Jae-nam and the first to obtain a black belt from Myung Jae-nam. For a long time he taught at Sangmukwan. Master Han died in 2005. He will be remembered for his unique way of teaching.

  • Teacher seems mean spirited. A hard attitude = a hard fall. I think one must have a kind heart as well as passion and love for life to survive all adversity. Thats just my 1st impression though.

  • @CosmicJediGoat I can assure you that master Han was anything but mean spirited. He was like a father to his students. I agree with your comments though.

  • @klaasb Yeah no offense intended, can't really know from a short video.

  • Someone should tell that mean old guy to take his shoes off!

  • look at 1:22 how the student rolls to avoid the hit

  • LOL at how the students run away when the teacher wants to hit them

  • It looks much like a Pok Tek in Wing Chun
