Assuming that Abraham existed and the story was based on some event that happened and seeing as though the manifestation of God is coming from his own mind, it was in fact Abraham's idea to kill his own son. At least he managed to snap out of it before he actually killed him. Or perhaps it would have been better if he did. How many people would follow a man that murdered his own son???
