  • Wonderful. I can clearly hear Gahu being mentioned in the second song. It is a folk song sang in Ghana, Togo, Benin and the Eastern parts of Nigeria. Yes, we have connection and this expresses the power of culture.

    Playing those drums isn't evil like many think. The only reason those African drums and religion didn't last among Black-Americans is because our English and protestant slave masters were more focused on banning African culture. French,Spanish & Portuguese slave masters who were also catholic were more tolerant of African culture compared to the English. So it was easier to preserve African culture in those Latin countries.
