Datsun 280ZX VG3ODET dyno run to 7000+ RPM Jan 2010

Engine is standard except for a custom plenum, Tomei Poncams and a GT35R turbo with a 1.06 back housing. Maximum torque is at 5200RPM, boost control needs to be sorted and a .82 housing would be a lot better bringing boost on perhaps 1000RPM sooner. 450WHP would have been nicer, the ambient temperature just got too hot, hey its summer, petrol tank got hot so we finished there. More tweaking will be done when we go Lakeside circuit soon, need to extend and flatten that torque curve.

Since then the turbo has been changed for a GTX3582 split housing setup still using the restrictive stock exhaust manifolds and with an external gate located on the turbo. Power has gone up to 421hp @ 7000rpm, torque 400 ft/ lbs @ 5000rpm, max boost 17psi. Can't wait to get it out on a circuit again, the power curves indicate massive acceleration from under 4 up to 7000rpm..
