@AngelOfMetus its kinda like that. Sky's father got injured after Tung broke his hand. Sky grew up beliving his dad was dead when he actually left Hong Kong and moved to Thailand. Panda (Sky's friend and mechanic) dies while racing Tung (the gumtape death match like in Initial D). Panda's sister has a crush on Sky but he's not interested since he still mourns Kelly (Sky's girlfriend).

there's a number two? I saw legend of speed . . . i still have the cd, just don't know where it is, but I'm sure it's still in my house. But, the one doing that bet with the guy in the beginning, his girlfriend died, and he gets a new one, I think was his best friend's sister, he finds his dad learns something from him, come backs, and then races that dude again,who he lost to the first race with him,where the accident with his girlfriend happened. He first built a car from his friend's book tho
