Balls Creek to Grand Lake Rd
0:12 to 3:10 - Balls Creek to Coxheath section: announced to be twinned in 2006.
3:10 to 4:25- Coxheath to Sydney River, one of first twinned sections, upgraded in 2006.
4:25 to 9:57- Sydney River to Grand Lake Road, announced to be twinned in 2007. Section with heaviest traffic flow.
Approx 5:25 - Alexandra Street overpass
Approx 6:50 - George Street interchange, bottleneck on peak results in traffic going between 30km/hr and 50km/hr (speed limit 100km/hr).
My speed 100km/hr except when behind grey car, reduced to 85km/hr.
Approx 9:05 - dumb car turning left on busy highway, had to jump on the brakes to avoid spinning him around.
This was taken off-peak (approx 4:00 pm) on the Monday of a long weekend.
Notice this is late 2008 and there's still no visible equipment on site. These sections were pegged for twinning almost 20 years ago, and many of the overpasses are already prepared for twinning and have been for 20 years.
