Thank you for doing these tests. I always thought background was between 10 and 24 cpm... did not think background was in the 40s...? weird. Well what you are detecting is obviously way above background.
"3X background, find the source you have a problem" ~ love that quote! Thank you.
I stopped drinking milk, cumulative increase in cows over time is very well documented in history.
Umbrella + clean up and not track around house, excellent advice!

California Department of Public Health’s inquiry line: (916) 341-3947 - maybe report any/all high rad levels there -? Please don't jump down my throat. That's the best I can do right now...

It looks like when you have a hammer (aka Inspector) all the problems look like nails to you...

Radioactive rain, plenty to think about., unfortunately.
I'm concerned you are doing the testing with bare hands and the geiger counter is also being exposed every time you test, whether it is touching the edge of the bowl, etc. Have you made sure the geiger counter has not touched the wet paper, etc?
thanks for your work.

@pammatiti - Thank you for this. Be assured that off-screen I am immediately rinsing and drying my hands. I am more concerned about getting radioactive "goo" on the Inspector than me as contaminating the $1k machine/etc. would mean the end of its usefulness. Others, like dutchsinse, have clearly contaminated their Inspectors through sloppy handling. We also take great care to keep radioactive air and food out of Radiation Station. Our "Eat Me" blog post addresses food and you should look at it!
