Clever mouse escapes two traps

This is a video showing a mouse in my attic. The camera is in "Super Nightshot" mode which allows it to see in total darkness. To the left is a glue board which the mouse would not walk on. In the center is a Spin Trap made by TomCat. The mouse moves in and out of the trap at will. Don't know why it didn't trap the mouse. The bait used was peanut butter.

In fairness to TomCat, I may have put too much peanut butter in the trap. The mouse was captured by the Spin Trap the following night.

@TheFutureLooksGrimm The camera was a 10 year old Sony HandyCam in "Super Night Shot" mode. It can take video in pitch black by emitting an infra-red light that only the camera can see. A very handy feature for making hidden videos.

That is a beautiful wood rat with large ears. It is intelligent, not all rats have diseases, that is just a myth and lies spread by the pest control companies. Wood rats are clean because they live in the woods not the sewers or cities around human garbage.
