Filmed in the period 1990 - 1994 this is one of several films of the integrated transport system in the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne area.
Locations seen include:
Airport,
Callerton Parkway,
Heworth.
Some filming was done 'documentary style' where short scenes were wanted, not long sequences showing trains coming, stopping and going.
Alas, no footage from the platforms at Airport station, as a uniformed killjoy said that the use of cameras is forbidden (their own CCTV systems excepted).
its wierd

...in addition, I am going to show this masterpiece to the Metro Staff and the Heads of Nexus as it is just sinply abseloutely amazing!
Alot has changed though, I was wondering if I could use all of your footage on the Metro so I can put it with some of my footage and do a contrast between 1990 and 2010. Please E-Mail me with a reply :)
Thanks again for this masterpiece,

Oh my gosh it is abseloutely wonderful to see the Metro as it was back in the 1990's! It is also amazing to see my home station Kingston Park as it was back in the 1990's! It is great to see the old liveries and the old cab aswell as I have only operated the new cab (a driver sometimes lets me start up their trains).
It is also lovely to bring back lovely memories of the Airport to South Shields line that I rode on when I was a small child...
