  • american san soo, thanks for posting this and not being an asswhole like Bonehead Gatewood who claims he has so much video of Jimmy, but you have to pay to see it.

  • Actually, the Captain recommends grabbing as much video from Gatewood that you can, while any of his videos are still available...

See my "alert" post at my American San Soo Forum under "Buy, Sell, Trade."

  • This is great, thanks for posting.

    The older demo's really rock...

Anyone have footage from the 60's to early 1970's?

Jimmy's Chinatown71 was the best IMHO, H e really rocked in that one, would love to see that one again...

  • I am quite impressed with the good strong stances. Their foundation was rock solid.

    I like it

  • Was this the demo that Jimmy laid down an open challenge? Just something I herd about once. You know how you hear things.

Thanks for putting this wonderful piece of footage up.

  • what a surrealist view of the oriental art. you even left in the sound of the projector

  • Notice the simplicity of motion and the solid foundation that Jimmy Woo confidently executes in each technique. Nothing wild or fancy, just being in the right place at the right time. Once in position, he effectively works the base that he has set up with little to no effort. An excellent example of how the principles of San Soo should be used in our technique. We can all learn by studying this type of video footage.

  • I was at this demo, and it was Bill @ Jerry doing the staff form. I can rember them working on it at Bill's Ontario studio.

  • You're a good man for posting this. The art almost looks completely different back then.

    Thanks.

  • I think that second set of staff fighters was Bill Lasiter and Jerry Druckerman.
