Actually it's far more real than jordan would like to believe. Tele is just catching up to the reality of what is going on in society. Black women are more than ever living their lives on their own terms without the belief that they are obligated to portray a certain cultural image; we portray that simply by always being the strongest and most resilient members of our communities. We no longer wait to be chosen, we are picking the most suitable partners for our lifestyles; black, white or other.

maybe Maia Campbell thinks lightening her skin will heighten her career. Its so sad that some people still think that dark skin isn't beautiful.

I always thought Maia Campbell was the most beautiful woman on television. But I recently saw a pic of her and it looked like she had lightened her skin. I wish people would stop doing this because that mahogany brown skin is very striking and stunning. I'm glad this actress is on daytime television and I hope more woman who look like her will be used in ads and movies. Like I said caramel is nice. But there is something so eye-catching to see this kind of beauty. It stops you in your tracks.

Who is the actress in this show? She is drop dead gorgeous. She looks like a doll. I watch Young and the Restless and the black people on that show are biracial. They don't have that beautiful mahogany color. Not that I don't think caramel is nice. But this type of beauty is under represented on YNR. Where are the other Viola Davis's of the entertainment world?!?
