Kayak Fishing Lake Anna Cold Side by Dike #3 - Jan 10, 2010

Kayak fished Lake Anna, VA on Jan 10, 2010. I chased birds for stripers. I did not catch any by casting and jigging lures while chasing birds for 2 hours. I caught blue back herrings on #8 Sabiki rig to use as live baits on circle hooks. I finally caught & released a large mouth bass and a striper on live herrings.

The wind was at 15-18MPH most of time. It wasn't ideal day for kayak fishing.

it's illegal to take stripers out of lake anna that are under 21" -_-

I have fished Lake Anna once. I intend for that to be the end of Lake Anna's chapter for me. Locals there call it the Dead Sea.
