The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in cooperation with the Zadar County and "Vice Vlatković" Vocational School in Zadar has set up a Solar Education Center where students and adults (most of them previously unemployed) can receive certified training in assembling and installing solar technologies. UNDP is also supporting the installation of a demonstration solar power plant in a remote village in Lika, where families that returned after the war still live without electricity.
