They have great sound and blend! They just don't move together as an ensemble very well.. =P That would've been a fun group to be a part of though if I were still in High School

@vulturedroid2 If you go to a professional orchestra or any other regular preforming group you will see them moving. When you reach a point in your musical career you realize the full potential of phrases and how to phrase them. When you play a piece that is so beautiful as Lux Aurumque, you can't just sit in your chair and play the notes. The notes fill you up and they ring in your ear. The tintinnabulation of the music echoes and it touches you on such a deep level that nothing else can.

is the honor band made from people all the u.s, or a very, very good high school?
wow that horn was sooo out of tune it was a different note I think! that ruined it for me...

well to be honest, not saying the soloist isn't fantastic but by her being first chair in this ensemble does not technically mean she is the best in the United States since not all the french horns in this country auditioned for this ensemble. no discredit to the player, fantastic tone, but i've heard better in the texas all state band. no discredit to this performance, I actually think this ensemble should be given much credit
