@FlyingNinja11 Why do you think the have to "spend it" all? They don't make money in order to spend it. Their job is to make money for their investors and of course they get well paid if they make a good job, since they are paid based on results. They need to be liquid in order to keep investing. In other words, they need money to make money. The more money you have to invest, the greatest potential return. This is capitalism at its maximum level. Hate the game, not the players...

@TubeMastaJedi Well you've got to give these managers some credit. After all, almost every person from this video attended the Ivy League/Stanford. Therefore, it can be concluded that it does require a massive amount of knowledge of the market and that an ordinary person probably wouldn't be able to do as well as these people.

But for those who simply just want the A to B equation, Imagine you lay a bet on the New York Giants to beat the Minnesota Vikings, the odds may not pay as much but imagine if you spread the total stake across the board on both teams to win, draw or lose, this formula means you can't providing that the total profits pays back over the total stake bet on.

I really have to disagree, I mean it ain't friggin rocket science or asking you about the concept of String Theory or Dark Matter or Quantum Physics, it's just plain economics, maths and quantative financial science.

all in all it really is a science, and how exactly do they live off backs of the innovative and desperate, the only thing they do is work out how to put your net worth into the most scientific theories of financial mechanics.
