Forget Michael Bay, this is the true story of the transformers recounted in rhyme by none other than Prime. Please rate and comment on this video...

"TRANSFORM, ROLL OUT!" Song Story:
ProfessorD.us and The Dope Poet Society releases new track, "Transform, Roll Out!" to the delight of Transformers fans everywhere.

The Dope Poet Society is known worldwide for socially conscious Hip Hop complete with banging beats and advanced lyrical wizardry. A lesser known fact about Canada's most politically active Hiphoppas is that they have (what is probably) the largest collection of G1 Transformers held by a Hip Hop group.
ProfessorD.us (Professor D dot U.S.) and DJ Spinister both collected the toys in their youth, and often talked about doing a Transformers themed song. Though DJ Spinister is no longer in the group, his final collaboration with Professor D is a fitting tribute to their years together. Spin brings his best production to the table, creating an energizing, head nodding beat which incorporates sounds and effects from the original cartoon series. Not to be outdone, ProfessorD.us brings it on the lyrical front. With a mind-blowingly sophisticated lyrical cadence, ProfessorD.us recounts (with uncanny accuracy from childhood memories) the story of the epic battle between the Autobots and Decepticons from the perspective of Optimus Prime! If you're a Transformers fan, you're gonna go nuts when you hear this jam! The cover image of Optimus Prime is original freehand artwork by Professor D (note the Justus League logos on Prime's arms). And don't worry, the lyrics are posted below for those who have trouble "listening fast enough."

"TRANSFORM, ROLL OUT!" Song Lyrics:
Written by ProfessorD.us of The Dope Poet Society for Justus League Records

Chorus:
Transform! Roll Out!
To destroy the evil forces of...
The Decepticons!
Verse 1:
Listen to me human I'll let you in on an epic clash
In the ancient past my name was changed from Orion Pax
My story starts in a world devoid of war where people were employed and
All were workers who enjoyed the fruits of our labour in common stocks
We respected the freedoms of all sentient beings and evolved methods of chan-
-ging from bipedal to vehicle that's why we are called Autobots
But alas there arose a class of robots programmed to protect us however they
showed us no respect cuz they were set up to oppress us pawns
In the game with a simple aim of evil power devour
Even they're reason deceived by greed that's why they're the Decepticons!
Led and headed by the dreaded menace Megatron
Plundering our planet Cybertron and squandering all the energon
And upon the factory that I was working in they descended upon
Showing no mercy they just begun firing at everyone
The last thing I saw was Megatron discharge his fusion canon
And I hit the ground never to be the same again!
(Chorus)
Verse 2:
Left for dead and we would a'been were it not for the help that I got
My wreckage was salvaged by the wise one Alpha Trion
Who rebuilt me wiser, more powerful and bigger
And gave a new life to me through the force of Vector Sigma!
My homie became Ironhide and I from this time
Became known as the ultimate Autobot Optimus Prime
Entrusted with the sacred matrix of leadership's mysterious power
And told that it would light our darkest hour
From that platform I began the course to
transform my peaceful people to a lethal fighting force
Reluctant warriors knowing that war is not glorious, still we forward with
The hope that victorious we could restore life to our planet destroyed by this
Need for greed so I blast Decepticons in a line
When I met Megatron on the battlefield for the first time as Prime
I hoped that it would be the last but alas there's been much more of this warfare
Megatron said "who are you?" I said "I'm your worst nightmare!"

  • Love the video, but his name was Optronix and he was a librarian, officially. When aerialbots went into the past it was changed. Check the official guide.

  • @DopePoetsDotCom sure thing i'llstart sending the link to my friends on youtube and in reality as well =D

  • @DopePoetsDotCom Not sure maybe they smoke crack or have some hidden fascination with me. It shows on your page so I don't see it.

  • @DopePoetsDotCom Your verse is better than esoteric I do agree though esoteric has some ill shit. Your verse was real dope. I love the double time and story telling. I am a hiphop mc who is a storyteller. I liked the video i thought last time. Your flow is similar to his but lyrics you cats win but virtuoso verse with eso was dope on esos shit. I dig this shit you got the best version on youtube thus far. Be careful for copyright infringement because of it being eso track is this on your album?

Looks like someone flagged your comment as spam, I don't see why the would have.

Okay, yeah, I just checked it out. Here's what happened, my wack ex-DJ (and fellow transformer enthusiast) played me the beat and told me he made it. But, as it turns out, he just jacked it and was looking for props. Oh well. It is what it is. As you say though, my song is really much more about the Transformers. Though curiously, Esoteric and I are spitting a comparable style of flow, though of course, mine iz illa.

  • @DopePoetsDotCom Esoteric is pretty well known just look up esoteric be alert. I swore you got that instrumental from his song that is why I said that it is the exact same sample for the bridge and all when I first heard it. Check it out though search it when you get this. It came out what early 2000 or 1999 I think. Sorry I had to retype the page froze. Youtube is starting to fuck up. You will like the song.
