I loved those subtle things in old Japanese video game commercials. Like the Street Fighter Turbo commercials; they don't show her doing it in the actual game footage, but the actress for Chun-Li does the Kikoken, letting you know that Chun-Li can do that move without really telling you up front.

She's waring the Mask at the end.

@dire51 Yeah, but that's not surprising: just look at Japanese ads for Megaman games, or Mario games, or Zelda games: commercial original remixes were par for the course in Japan for decades. Still are, really.

This look's like a dream that Jennifer or Rick probably had when they were kid's. either way if this is Jennifer's or Rick's dream it is a warning dream about the terrible fate both (Rick and Jennifer) will have with the terror mask in Wes mansion in a couple of year's.

That is one creepy commercial. I love it! Horror games should be more creepy like that...

it happens the same thing to jp cm of x-men mutant apocalypse. no joke

I got the TG16 version on my Virtual Console. It might be censord but at least my christian girlfriend won't get mad at me if they kept the upside down crosses from the arcade version... at least she didn't mind I downloaded a M game as long as it's not GTA
the music from the commercial plays at the end of the game.

True, but this particular arrangement isn't available anywhere. At least, no one's come forward to admit they know where it can be found yet.

Actually, the only things we didn't get were the white mask, wooden cross marking Hell Chaos' grave and Evil Cross boss. Other than that, they're the same, as far as I can tell.

Classic Advert, indeed. I also like the short cover of the Ending Theme used. Very Chilling! Not quite sure why they decided to use a Young Girl in the advert, though, considering the only child in the series is David... Eh, probebly for the 'Freak-Out Factor' i suppose.

Don't forget, at the time the ad was made, Splatterhouse 2 wasn't even in the works, let alone 3.
