  • I thank God that I have lived in these times, - such beauty...

  • This is just as fierce a half-step down.

  • Pava and Freni was perhaps the greatest pairing for Puccini ever. There is also the Tebaldi and Del Monaco twosome, but these two just had the earnest and pure voices to sing those innately passionate, and let's face it mostly gullible, Puccini characters.

Love this and also their Butterfly.

  • Think about if Pavarotti was Rodolfo and Maria Callas was Mimi...how EPIC would that be? It's a shame they never could sing together.

  • this brings alot of memories

  • Thank you so much for posting this! If the Senate and Congress of the United States of Greed soon have their way, Youtube and free sharing of great art like this (as Tim Berners-Lee conceived the World Wide Web, for free sharing of information and art and science) will soon be denied us. For the moment, we have Angels like you who know something other than Greed.

Long live Pavoritti's divine art in the ears of Freedom!

  • Can you imagine having grown up in a different era and not hearing this voice - we are so blessed to have lived in his time. God Bless Luciano.

  • It feels like sunday morning every time I hear pavarotti singing this master piece. My father was, while doing the dishes after breakfast, singing this along pavarotti. I still miss them both.

  • If I die hearing nothing else but that fantastic note I will be a happy man.
