Let's try something different today...

This is a cover of Wind's Nocturne (Luna's Boat Song) from Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. The footage in the video is the actual scene where Luna sings the song in-game. The karaoke track used is an adapted version of Mathew Valente's MIDI karaoke found at rpgamer.com. The original karaoke followed the original song identically, while our adaptation is more minimalistic (because of sound quality constraints).

Our singer today is one of only two vocalists in Cabrabbits; she is the same singer who sang our Gravity cover. The original Japanese singer for this song was also the voice actor for Luna, Kyoko Hikami. The original English singer was Jennifer Stigile who also sang the opening theme in the North American release of L:SSSC.

We tried to sync our recording to the in-game scene as best as we could :D. Enjoy!

Wishing on a dream that seems far off
Hoping it will come today
Into the starlit night
Foolish dreamers turn their gaze
Waiting on a shooting star

But what if that star is not to come
Will their dreams fade to nothing?
When the horizon darkens most
We all need to believe there is hope

Is an angel watching closely over me?
Can there be a guiding light I've yet to see?
I know my heart should guide me but,
Theres a hole within my soul

What will fill this emptiness inside of me?
Am I to be satisfied without knowing

I wish then for a chance to see
Now all I need (desperately)

Is my star to come...

  • Very nice. How come no one told me they used my MIDI file for such a beautiful rendition? (BTW, yes, I am Mathew Valente)

  • Whoaaa! We didn't realize you were on youtube! Haha xD We just found your midi one day (on an rpg site?) and decided to sing to it. We thought crediting you was enough to use the karaoke, I apologize if you wanted to be told x_X.

Very nice to meet you Mathew Valente!

  • Oh credit is all I ask for with matters concerning my remakes and such. However I did notice that the instruments were mostly changed around.

  • you have a very beautiful tone in your voice but you tend to lose your strength at points where you should breathe in deeply and really let it flow strongly out of you. remember resonance! this was beautiful though and I enjoyed it :)

  • Could I get the midi that you used for this? I'd like to do a cover of this song as well...

  • awesome lipsync

  • Voice was off during some parts but its still great singing. I found this video after watching a trailer for the psp remake of this game lol, hope you guys will support the game

  • And we wonder why the entertainment industry went to crap, attitudes like these is why people are turning their TVs off and downloading to the Internet and watching free TV online, and yet you people seem to justify of what unauthorized I'm sure material and shares the video or music to everyone, just because you give the credit to the author doesn't make it legal, this isn't an English essay folks, this is copyrights infringement not freedom

  • Why should we restrict copyright? It seems like it restricts our freedom to bend and break, then recreate. If credit is given where credit is due, then the internet should be free to restrictions. It's disrespectful to take someone's work and claim it as your own, but to be able to cover on it and tell who created what was needed to make the video possible should be enough.

  • lol @ this intrawebz virgin

  • This is a cover of a song written by Noriyuki Iwadare. There's nothing wrong with this song, and he's not trying to make any money off of it, so this doesn't breach any copyright laws.

Besides, you've got two videos on your channel that breach copyright law, as you're rebroadcasting clips of something you have no rights to. The original composers of these songs have no problems with this, they're usually flattered that the fans love their music so much to make tributes such as this one.

  • what program did you use to make this?
