Bring that designer look to your bathroom with the new Caroma Invisi Series 2 toilet range. Hidden cisterns with a choice of floor options make this range of toilets a cut above the rest.
I like to products and have never had a problem with them and they save me money on water and sewer and i have no maintenance issues.
You can't really post long responses here on u tube so i had to cut and past my first one. If you read from my first post up it makes perfect sense. This is my last one on this matter but I'm sure some people will disagree. Oh well, such is life of a toilet guru!
I read that staining or skid marks as we call them in the US is caused by dietary issues of the commode user. Maybe that explains the difference.
I called the 800 number for the company that distributes Caroma toilets in the US and Canada for my friend who has Gen 1 product and they sent him repair parts for free with no questions asked. Maybe they could help you too 800-460-7019.
In terms of staining I have 3 American Standard Champion 1.6GPF toilets in my residence with huge water spots and the Caroma toielts with their teeny water spots do not stain any more than those but they use 44% less water and you can't clog them.
I have had Caroma toilets installed in my ski resort rental property for two years and they work wonderfully and quite frankly, will flush things no toilet should be able to flush with their 4" trap versus siphon toilets trap average of 2-1/16". At my old company, American Standard, we had the largest siphon trap diameter in our Champion models at 2-3/8".
Most name brand, upper end, siphon toilets will clear the waste from the fixture just fine but the issues arise in the main piping system due to the lack of line carry. When the water stops moving the waste stops moving. Wash down toilets use 100% of the water to move the waste.
Toto single flush 1.6gpf products work well but as they are forced to use less and less water in America with the passage of HET laws that track record is gone. Caroma is the product of choice because they use wash down technology (watch the you tube video) Siphon products simply do not work well with less water by design as 60% of the water is wasted to create the siphon leaving only 40% with the waste.
Caroma used to be popular in New Zealand, imported from Australia but have rapidly lost favor over the past few years. Over here they have staining of the porcelain issues, out of shape issues and are made cheap and WAY overpriced. Even locally the support is crap and plumbers stay well clear, I would advise you to too, buy a Toto or ANYTHING else!
