Panelists were Don Jones, vice president for business development at Qualcomm, Inc.; Andrew Thompson, president and CEO of Proteus Biomedical; Brian Fitzgerald, deputy division director of the Division of Electrical and Software Engineering at the US Food & Drug Administration; and Dana Mead, partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
Mr. Burton led a discussion about how networked information data could be multi-purposed. He also led an insightful discussion of business models for body computing. The regulatory aspects of networked devices were extensively discussed.
